CONFIDENCE

Here are some of the definitions of this word from the dictionary....Confidence: a feeling or consciousness of one's power or of reliance of one's circumstances; faith or belief that one will act in a right, proper, or effective way; the quality or state of being certain; a relation of trust or intimacy; the quality or state of being certain.

Well, that is a lot to consider when looking at the word. God tells us many times in His word to be Bold, and Confident! Is that the same as believing in our own power, as in the first definition? Does it mean we should have faith or belief in the one that will act in the right, proper or effective way? Does it mean we should put our trust in the ability of our state of being certain a thing is true? Should we have confidence in a relationship if it is based in trust and intimacy? What should we place our confidence in?

God wants us to trust Him, to be confident that He will take care of use. We should not trust our own power ever, look at Adam... when left alone with false teaching and a single idea that was planted in his head.... He chose the wrong path. he did not keep his trust and confidence in what he knew to be truth... the WORD of God... that said , do not eat of that tree or you WILL die....

We need to have the faith and the ability to trust in God and God alone, then we will have the confidence to Boldly approach God and ask for whatever we want in His will and He WILL give it to us.... the only way to be that confident is to be in His will, to daily seek His guide, and to faithfully put our trust in HIM!

Lord Help me to confidently come before you with petitions that are in your will and seek your guidance in regard to my life. I want to be in your will and do your will daily. Lord give me the wisdom to do that. Give me the desire to follow you daily, completely!
