I love to look at, make, and share art. I am by no means an artist, I do like to create things. God in His nature is creative, He created or allowed things to be created in this world as we know it. He is Masterful at all He does, there is no error in Him or His creation. When man has something to do with creation then things get messed up.
Definition of masterful1 a : inclined and usually competent to act as masterb: suggestive of a domineering nature2 : having or reflecting the power and skill of a master
One of the thoughts that came to my mind today is about how God took His time in creation. Don't you think if He wanted too, He could have spoke the word and everything could have been created on the first day? He could have been done with it all, but He took time to do things in a thoughtful and layered manner. Each day, the creation completed built upon the previous. He laid a foundation and built all things on that foundation so that we could live a life He meant for us to live.
I am not going to put the whole chapters of Genesis 1 and 2 here I will share several verses, I would suggest if you have never read it or it has been a while that you stop and read it now.
Then God said, “Let there be light”;
Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters,
Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass,
Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night;
Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind:
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;There are some words that are common in all these verses. "Then God said," In all creation God spoke the words and from His words something was created. What ever He spoke came into existence by His mere words, He was masterful in His speech and therefore masterful in His creation. Then He comes to day 6...
On day 6 God not only spoke "Let Us make man in our own image, according to Our likeness;" but He got hands on with this part of creation. He didn't just speak, this was more important to Him, He needed His fingerprints to be part of this creation. Man was a likeness of Him, it was special, it needed a Masterful touch...
"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." Genesis 2:7Then He realized man needed someone just like He "needed" man. Do you think God needs us? I do, I think He wants a relationship with us, if He didn't He didn't have to create us or anything else. Anyway, God created woman, not just from Adam, but also by hand... special and masterfully done to the pleasure of Adam.
"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man." Genesis 2:21-22God could have just spoke and man would have appeared but He took His time and put His hands in the dirt and created man. Like a potter with clay, he formed Adam, and gave Him breath, then created Eve just as masterfully. What is even more important is that God is still forming each of us, He has known us before we were ever born, He fashioned us in our mother's womb. He gave us breath, a thought came to mind when I wrote this statement... think about a child being born, the infant has been alive in the womb, sheltered from the world, when it is born... the child needs to breathe as a result of the birth and this breath it cries... I believe right before that cry, God reaches down and gives that breath to that child. He has a plan for us all. I am so glad He masterfully created the world, man, woman, all people, all creation. Thank-you Lord for your masterful creations!
But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8
Thanks for reading. God Bless You All!
